Fueling Innovation
We are a student run team based at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, Canada. We design, build and launch rockets with innovative payloads. Recently, we had a successful launch to roughly 3km (10,000ft) at the Launch Canada competition! We are now working on building an improved solid rocket for 2025 competitions and developing a hybrid rocket for the future.
2024 Launch Canada
Luminis V2 marks McMaster Rocketry's fourth high-power rocket and its first nominal flight! Launched on August 21, 2024, at the third annual Launch Canada, Luminis V2 soared to 10,456 feet and reached a maximum speed of 289.1 m/s. After a smooth descent with both its drogue and main parachutes, the rocket was safely recovered by our competition team.
