I have great interest in space and want to participate in a project where I can challenge myself in applying what I learned in courses.
Some of my hobbies include skateboarding, fishing, and welding!
Design and build the physical structure of the rocket. Construction of launchpad and mechanical components of launch controller.
Design and manufacturing of solid rocket motor casing as well as test fixtures.
I like working in team environments and McMaster Rocketry Team is a great opportunity to gain experience and develop new skills. Our goal is very exciting and I’m very happy to be working towards it with everyone else.
In my free time, I like reverse-engineering mechanisms, designing games, and camping.
I wanted to join the team so I could get hands-on, practical engineering experience. I enjoy working in teams to solve problems and I'm also interested in the aerospace field and was excited for the opportunity to learn about rocketry.
I am a first year general engineering student. I became interested in engineering after participating in high school robotics, where I first learned the basics of mechanical design and manufacturing. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and cooking.
I wanted to join the McMaster Rockery team to help further develop my CAD skills and learn more about 3D printing. McMaster Rocketry gives me the opportunity to apply learning in class to real world applications, with like-minded students.
I am in my second year in mechanical engineering and management with interested in almost anything engineering and business related. I grew up in Stirling, Ontario. I am also apart of the McMaster Engineering and Management Society as a representative as well.
Since a young age, I have been fascinated by the frontiers of space, space travel and the amazing technology behind it. Since receiving my first model rocket kit when I was nine, I have designed and built many model rockets and co-founded and led a rocketry club in high school. I enjoy seeing the results of teamwork, creativity and engineering culminate in a rocket launch. I am excited to be continuing my learning journey with the McMaster Rocketry Team and working with like-minded individuals.
I plan to specialize in either mechanical or mechatronics engineering and hope to work in aerospace or robotics. In high school I was very involved in FIRST Robotics, including having the honor of being team captain. I love the challenge of collaborative team problem solving and seeing all parts of a project come together. I hope to continue to develop my leadership skills. I am also on the McMaster Formula Electric Team, focusing on aerodynamics. I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, running, and playing badminton.
